Welcome To Our Practice!
Thank you for choosing Eye Center of Grand Rapids! We hope your visit with us will be a pleasant one. When planning for your first appointment, please be aware that your visit may take up to 1½ to 2 hours (though some new appointments may be completed within an hour). This will provide enough time to dilate your pupils and perform any necessary diagnostic testing.
To help make the most of your time, please have the following items available upon arrival:
- Photo ID
- Medical insurance card(s)
- Complete list of medications, including dosages and frequencies
- Current eyeglasses
- Completed Registration and History Forms
- A pair of sunglasses for the trip home
Note: Contact lens wearers should call the office ahead of time for instructions
Most new visits will require dilating your pupils, which can cause blurriness, glare, and increased sensitivity to light. Therefore, we recommend having a driver come with you as a precaution. Pupils can remain dilated for up to 3-6 hours.
Note: If you have a history of glaucoma, it is important to try to obtain records of prior visual field tests and past eye pressure measurements.
